I have been asked to do some test pics between my Fuji X100 and X10.
Being a little time restricted, I quickly took these pics to show the difference of DOF between the two at the same focal length and aperture (2.8).
The top pic is from the X100, bottom being from the X10. It is clear how much the size of the sensor impacts on DOF in these examples.
I then took the following pic of a messy table at ISO 800.
Now, here is the crop of the mug showing the ISO difference between the two:
Top is the X100 and the bottom is the X10.
Now, in comparison to the X100, the X10 does not look like is performs that well. However this is by far a fair comparison considering the quality of the X100. Maybe if we test the X10 against other compacts, we would see where the X10 really shines. I doubt you would see that ISO performance coming from a Canon or Sony point and shoot.
